Dingos Players
Aberdeen Dingos
Andy Miller – The big kiwi went on a late season goal scoring streak last season with his kicking form seeing him dubbed the Dingo Dan Carter (by his wife)
Colm McConville – GAA player who turned in a couple of excellent performances for the Dingoes last season and showed quality form with his kicking in pre-season training winning a recent goal kicking comp (although this may be a reflection on the rest of the Dingoes goal kicking abilities)
Tommo Drake – Student Tommo’s 2nd season with the dingoes but may miss the summer months as he likes to go home to his mummy.
Andrew Dickson – Got married went missing – where are you Dicko?!!
Chris Bettridge – Dingo top point scorer last season was kicked out of the UK at the end of the season and sent back to Oz but with a new visa winging its way through should be back in April. Claims of a newer fitter Benno returning have been circulating the Dingo camp but will a return to an Aberdeen diet reverse all that hard work?
Dharen Selva – The Dingoes have been doing their best to train all over the local cricket creases hopefully ruining the cricket season so Dharen can turn out for the Dingoes more.
Colin Fitzpatrick – Uncle Grizzly says he’s taking a more social role this year, although anyone that saw him play last year will wonder if its possible to take a ‘more social’ role
Andrew Brooks – Superb kicking form last year (the majority of which was kicking people out of his bed the morning after)
Peter Moon – Discovered his natural position of full forward halfway through last season in the Dingoes vs. Bloods game. Shamefully ‘Traitor Pete’ turned out for the Bloods in that game leading to a big Dingo loss. Hopefully he can replicate that form for the Dingoes.
Phil Scott – Debut season for Big Phil. Pre-season has already seen him break a team mate’s leg - watch out Bloods and Sharks Big Phil’s going to get you!
Daniel Willmott – Debut for the Dingoes has been delayed after Big Phil ‘got him’.
Campbell Paterson – Cambo has taken over coaching duties from Wayno this season can he live up to his predecessor – is there anything to live up to?
Duncan Black – Kicking seemed to improve last season the morning after a heavy night out (and a pre-match tactical spew). Will new routine of not going out the night before the match backfire and kicking suffer?
Danny Bush – ‘The mighty Bush’ disappeared at the end of the season on a ‘mission of love’ major loss to the Dingo cause but should be available for a few guest appearances (hospitalisations) throughout the season.
Matthew Wells – Moved to London claiming it was more cosmopolitan and better than Aberdeen - is expected to come crawling back begging for a Dingo jersey soon when he realises this is not the case.
Wayne Harnden – Coach Wayno couldn’t hack the Aberdeen winter and went back to Oz (rumours circulate that this was a Danny Bush style ‘mission of love’).
Donal Leddy – Played a blinder for the Bloods in the game against the Dingoes last season. Dingo management later found out he was living in Aberdeen and has been persuaded leave the ‘dark side’
Kevin Hyland – Shown excellent commitment to the Dingo cause practising his skills outside training - a big hole in his flat wall while practising shepherding at 4am on a Sunday morning shows the results of such commitment.
Sean Mangan – 2nd season with the Dingoes this man seems to appear from nowhere for the games – only pipped to preseason goal kicking competition by Colm who managed to slice the ball better although some say Seano purposefully missed as he just wanted a fag.
Stuart Kirk – Captain Stu’s second season with the Dingoes. Preseason fitness has shown up a lot of the Dingoes meaning he probably has a life outside the Dingoes – some would argue this is not allowed!
Ronan Ferguson – GAA player making his debut season for the Dingoes
Stephen Anderson – GAA player making his debut season for the Dingoes
Gavin Ingram – Debut season for the Dingoes
Angus McLean – Debut season for the Dingoes
Chris Sissons-Tapping – Aussie making his debut season for the Dingoes yet to be seen at training. Was signed up to the Dingoes by his wife after their dog attacked the ball during a dingo training session – if he shows 10% the enthusiasm of the dog he will be a great addition.
